prototype
Before diving into designing the piece or cutting all pieces out, I cut out one several prototype pieces and a rectangular piece with five different cuts after using a digital caliber to measure the thickness of wood to be 3.05 mm roughly.
Fabrication
After deciding the width for my slots, I drew the ellipsoid in solidworks to help defining the edges for each piece and create them one by one.
assembly
